Mineral exploration is essential for industrialization and energy transition
With respect to the mining sector, the National Government seeks to advance towards the development of a productive and industrialized economy for the country; guaranteeing the supply of minerals to contribute to the secure, fair and self-sufficient energy transition.
According to Lina Franco, member of the Board of Directors of the ACGGP, this transition to productive economies for the reindustrialization of the country presents great challenges for the mining sector, which plays a fundamental role in the fulfillment of climate change commitments, since solar panels, wind power generation turbines, transmission lines and electric cars are made with minerals.
At the Energy Exploration Convention we will discuss the importance of geoscientific knowledge and exploration of our territory to identify potential reserves of strategic minerals that the country requires for energy transition, agricultural development and reindustrialization of the economy. We look forward to seeing you!
